Photo Guidelines — Share Photos of Your Community
Photos help families more than almost anything else on a listing. We’re starting simple and growing from there.
Start with two images
- The front of your community — a daytime exterior shot of your entrance, the view a family sees when they first arrive
- Your logo — the version you’d like shown on your listing
Email them to listings@senior.living.community with your community name. If you have other photos you’re proud of, send those too and tell us what they show — we’re actively figuring out which photo types help families most, and what communities want to share is part of that answer.
Photos we expect to add over time
As listings grow, these are the images families ask for — a useful checklist if you’re planning a photo session:
- Resident rooms: each room type, plus a simple floor-plan/layout image per room type
- Dining room and a typical plated meal
- Activity and common areas (library, game room, theater, salon)
- Exercise/fitness room
- Outdoor seating areas, gardens, courtyards, walking paths
- Activities in progress (see consent rules below)
Requirements
- You must own the rights to every image you send (you took it, or your community did), and by sending it you give us permission to publish it on your listing.
- No identifiable people without written consent. For any photo showing a resident, family member, or staff member, you confirm you hold their written consent (this is standard in senior care marketing — your administrator will know). Photos with no people are always safe.
- JPG or PNG, at least 1200px wide, no heavy filters or stock photography — families can tell, and authentic beats polished.
- We may crop or resize for layout, and we’ll never alter what a photo shows.
